Prerequisites to this HELP document:

You are using a Microsoft Windows

You have an Internet connection

You know how to download from the Internet

You know how to (and have permission to) install programs onto your computer

You do not have or want to use iTunes

[NOTE: In iTunes choose 'Advanced, Subscribe to Podcast...' then paste the RSS URL(from Step#3)]

You wish to use Juice Podcast Receiver to subscribe to our Podcasts

First go to this website and download your Podcast receiver:  http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net

1. Install by double-clicking on the EXE file you just downloaded.
               i.e. JuiceXXSetup.exe
   - Select all of the defaults… (change installation settings if you wish)
   
   - Answer "Yes" to handle file types
   - In the preferences window, under the "File Types" tab leave default settings
   (if the Preferences window doesn't appear: select File, Preferences...)
   - Under the "General" tab, you can change the location to store the downloaded podcasts
     (this location must have sufficient amount of disk space [500 MB] available)
   
   
   - Under the "Player" tab, select the preferred player of your choice.
      If you intend to only use your computer to play the podcasts, then choose Windows Media Player.
      If you intend to transfer these podcasts to your iPod, then use iTunes.
   
   
   - Hit the 'Save' button to save your preferences.

2.  Once the application is installed, and your preferences are set, you can access Juice by double-clicking the lemon icon located in your task bar or the shortcut located on your desktop.

3.  SUBSCRIBING TO A PODCAST (http://podcast.swtc.edu)
   - Using your Internet browser, navigate to the website offering the [RSS] feed of the podcast (http://podcast.swtc.edu)
   - Right-click the [RSS] link and copy it (Copy Shortcut  /  Copy Link Location)
   (if you 'left-clicked', don't panic, just hit the 'Back' button and try again)
   
   - Within the Juice program, you will select the 'Subscription' tab and then click the green plus button to add a subscription.
   
   
   - Within the 'Add a Feed' window, paste the URL you previously copied from step 3 (Copy Shortcut)
       (you can do this by 'right-clicking' in the URL field and selecting 'paste' or hitting 'Ctrl+V' on the keyboard)
   
   
   - Hit the 'Save' button and the feed should automatically populate the Title and show currently available episodes of podcasts.
   
   
4. Under the 'Tools' menu option, there are other settings like 'Scheduler...' that can be used to schedule Juice to check for new podcasts and download them to your computer. (if you have dial-up Internet - this will automatically connect your PC to the Internet!)
   
   
5. Enjoy the Podcasts!!! There are MANY more podcasts available under the 'Podcast Directory' tab.
